February Favourites

Hey guys!
So it's the end of February! This has been a really challenging month for me but I've decided to show you some of the things that have gotten me through February.

1. Love Tanya
This month I've been reading the book 'Love Tanya' by the YouTuber Tanya Burr. It's a really good book and talks about makeup, hair, anxiety and lots more. It's definitely well worth the read.

2. Eye make-up remover by Simple
This eye make-up remover has made my life a lot easier. It's kind to eyes and it works really well.

3. 90210
I am OBSESSED with watching 90210. If you have Netflix you should definitely go watch this because it is amazing!

4. Flavoured Water
I don't like normal water and so I'm always very dehydrated so one day I decided to try some blackcurrant flavoured water from Tesco and it tastes amazing. So if you're like me and don't like water you should buy some flavoured water. You can get it nearly anywhere in lots of different flavours. Since I've begun drinking it I've become more positive and I also sleep a lot better.

5. Purr by Katy Perry

This is my all time favourite perfume. It smells AMAZING! If you're thinking of buying a new perfume then I really recommend this one. The scent lasts for ages and the bottle is quite big so it lasts quite a long time.

6. Thinking Out Loud - Ed Sheeran
This has been my favourite song this month. I think it's such a meaningful song and Ed Sheeran sings it beautifully. It's a really popular song and I can definitely see why.

7. Soap & Glory Hand Food
This hand cream is the best hand cream I've ever used. It keeps my hands soft and hydrated. It also smells amazing. If you're looking for a hand cream I command you to go buy this one immediately! Or else! (I'm kidding you don't have to buy it... But you should... You'll miss out big-time if you don't!!)

8. Love Label make-up set
This is a really good make-up set. It has eye-shadows on the top layer and then you can open it up and it has make-up brushes, blushers and lip-glosses. It also has a built in mirror.

So those are all my favourites for this month. Hope you enjoyed them!

My Top Ten Books

Hey Guys!
Today I thought I'd give you a list of my top ten books and give a little description about each. Let me know what you think!

1. Girl Online by Zoe Sugg

Girl Online is my favourite book. It is written by Zoe Sugg (Zoella) and is an amazing book! It's about a girl called Penny who is a blogger who goes to New York where she meets a guy called Noah and starts falling in love with him. This book can relate to all teenage girls who deal with anxiety and other teenage problems.

2. My Sister Jodie by Jacqueline Wilson
This is a really good book about two sisters called Pearl and Jodie. Pearl is very shy and quiet but Jodie is bold and bad. They have to go to boarding school in Melchester College. Their lives completely change. Pearl doesn't need Jodie like she used to but a tragic event causes that to change...

3. The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
This is an amazing book based in Nazi Germany during World War Two. This book is narrated by Death. It's about a young girl who goes to live with a foster family after her mom gets taken away and her younger brother dies. It's a brilliant book that will have you on the edge of your seat and will have you laughing and have you crying.

4.The Castle by Sophia Bennett
Peta refuses to believe that her dad is dead and when she starts to get phone calls from some stranger she sets out to prove her dads not dead. She gets caught up on a boat sailing across the sea. This is a great book and is definitely well worth the read.

5. The Fault in Our Stars by John Green
This is a very popular book and if you haven't read it then you should definitely consider changing that. It's about two teenagers who both have cancer. When Hazel first meets Augustus Waters she realizes that things are going to change. And she couldn't be more right. They start to fall madly in love but a tragic event causes things to change for Hazel.

6. Lucy Doesn't Wear Pink by Nancy Rue
Lucy is a rebellious tomboy who questions everything. An accident killed her mom and blinded her father turning her life upside down. Lucy's bossy Aunt Karen thinks Lucy needs a woman's influence so they bring in Inez - a housekeeper who brings her granddaughter Mora with her. Lucy and Mora are complete opposites. This is a brilliant book that you won't want to put down. It comes in a series of four amazing books.

7. Love Tanya by Tanya Burr
This is a brilliant book that talks about Tanya's life, her relationship with Jim Chapman, her YouTube career, beauty tutorials, how to deal with anxiety, baking, makeup and lots more! I definitely recommend buying this.

8. Cherry Crush by Cathy Cassidy
This is one of the books in 'The Chocolate Box Girls' series. This is the first book and it's really good and well worth reading. This series talks about real life issues in teenage girls and can be really relatable. I recommend any book written by Cathy Cassidy as she is such as amazing writer.

9. The Hunger Games Trilogy
These are some of my all-time favourite books ever and I strongly recommend reading them! If you're not big into reading you should watch the movies because those are really good too.

10. The Secret of Moonacre (The Little White Horse) by Elizabeth Goudge
Maria Merryweather is fascinated by the mysterious story of the long-lost Moon Princess and the magical little white horse. Before long she is determined to restore peace and happiness to the valley. This is a really gripping book and I absolutely adore this book. It's also a brilliant movie so you should definitely check that out.

So those are my top ten books. If you read any of them let me know what you thought of them in the comments or if you like any other books make sure to comment those as well.

Life Hacks

Hey guys!
Thought I'd give you some life hacks today!

  1. If you need some motivation take a shower. Being clean is proven to help productivity.
  2. If you drop your phone in water put it in a bag of rice. This will absorb the water and your phone will probably work.
  3. If you hold down the picture button for a few seconds on Instagram it'll take you straight to your gallery.
  4. You're 50% more likely to remember something if you speak it out loud.
  5. Use airplane mode to skip ads on apps.
  6. When proofreading read out loud to yourself. Your mouth will catch errors your mind might glance over.
  7. If you can't sleep look at pictures of people sleeping. Studies show that it triggers your brain to be tired.
  8. For longer lasting curls make sure your hair is completely dry before curling.
  9. Try to avoid studying in the same place every day. Working in new places, such as a cafe will help the information stick better.
  10. Take a quick power nap after pulling an all nighter right before the sun comes up. Your body will reset itself.
If you want more posts like this let me know in the comments!

Wednesday, 4 February 2015

Hey guys,
So todays topic is a little more serious than usual. But it's important. Today I'm going to talk about depression. Depression can be a scary thing to talk about but looking around I see so many people who are depressed. Some of the most depressed people I know are the ones who cover their pain with a smile. I'm one of those people.

Things have always been hard for me. I've always felt like everyone hates me. Honestly, I could never blame them. I've always hated me too. I saw nothing good about myself. I mean whats to like? I'm fat and ugly and barely have any friends. And on top of all that I have an anxiety disorder that stops me from being able to speak most of the time!

Last summer was the most challenging summer I've ever had. I was so depressed. I had so much going on. Most of it's too private to put in this blog though.

It's hard being a teenager in todays society. You have so many things pressuring you like school, family and friends. It can all be a bit much.

You're never alone though. One in five teenagers in Ireland either have anxiety disorders or self harm. That's 20%! That's extremely high! Unfortunately I'm in that 20%.

Please don't ever feel so bad that it forces you to self harm! It is one of the worst things you could ever do to yourself and so much could go wrong. So please don't! No matter how bad things get there's always a solution that doesn't involve hurting yourself.

Luckily I'm not as depressed as I used to be. My church youth pastor helped me through so much. I don't even want to think where I'd be right now if it wasn't for him. He encouraged me to trust in God and give all my pain to God and my youth pastor prayed with me a few times and I can honestly say that God's helped me through the mess I was in and brought me to where I am today.

If you ever need somebody to talk to who understands I'm here. I won't judge you or mock you for it because I truly understand. I know how it feels to smile all day and cry all night and I would be willing to help you if you needed someone. You can email me. My email is:

January Favourites

Hey Guys!
Today I'm going to share some of my favourite things from January! Let me know what you think!

I am absolutely loving these boots that I got from New Look for €26. They're extremely comfy and great for walking and they look good with almost everything!

My favourite foundation this month has been SuperStay Better Skin foundation by Maybelline. It makes your skin look flawless and it evens your skin tone. I highly recommend this foundation because it looks really natural and doesn't give you loads of spots like some foundations do.

My favourite book this month is definitely 'Girl Online' by Zoe Sugg. I loved this book so much that it took me less than 24 hours to read! This book talks about anxiety and panic attacks which I really liked because I have an anxiety disorder and I sometimes get mini panic attacks. This book is definitely well worth the read even if you're not big into reading.

My favourite mascara this month was Scandal Eyes Flex by Rimmel London. It doesn't leave huge clumps in your eyelashes and it makes your eyelashes appear very long. If you're looking for a mascara then you should consider getting this one.

My favourite YouTuber this month was probably Alfie Deyes (PointlessBlog). He always manages to have me laughing by the end of one of his videos. He also uploads daily vlogs. If you're looking for a good youtuber then you should take a look at PointlessBlog.

My favourite lipgloss this month has been Provocalips by Rimmel London. It has a very bold colour lipgloss on one side and then when you turn it over it has a clear lipgloss to put over the colour to make it lock and shine. This lipgloss lasts nearly all day and is perfect for any occasion.

My favourite app this month has probably been Wattpad. Wattpad allows you to read thousands of books for free and also allows you to write books to share with the other users on Wattpad. It's really handy because you can bring it with you wherever you go instead of having to bring a book.

My favourite lip balm this month has been Nivea Soft Rose. If your lips get chapped easily like mine then you should definitely get this lip balm. You can get it in most chemists.

So that's it for this months favourites. Hope you enjoyed it. Let me know if you want more posts like this.
