10 Things to do when you're Bored

Hey guys,
Sometimes you can get really bored and so I've decided to give you a list of things to do when you're bored.  Hope you like them :)

  1. Read a book - Sometimes the thought of reading can completely put us off reading but once you push yourself to actually pick up a book and get stuck into it, it can be really enjoyable. I recommend books such as Girl Online, The Hunger Games, and The Book Thief.
  2. Go for a walk - I know this one sounds very boring but do it! Go for a walk! You might surprise yourself about how relaxing a walk can actually be. Go somewhere quiet to walk. It's a good opportunity to think about things.
  3. Listen to music - For some good songs go check out my latest blog post http://inspiringbloggergirl.blogspot.ie/2015/01/top-25-songs.html
  4. Meet up with some friends - Go for lunch or go shopping with some friends... Even if you haven't spoken to them in a while.
  5. Bake - Bake some cookies or some cakes. Or if you want to make oreo truffles I posted the recipe on my blog and here's the link >>> http://inspiringbloggergirl.blogspot.ie/2015/01/recipe-oreo-truffles.html
  6. Go shopping  - Have some fun! Go shopping! You deserve it!
  7. Catch up on work - Stop procrastinating! Go do whatever work needs doing! Whether it's housework or schoolwork it needs to be done at some point so why not do it now!
  8. Go to the cinema - Grab some friends and go to the cinema. There's always some good movies in the cinema so grab some popcorn and some friends and find a good movie to watch!
  9. Explore YouTube videos - Have a look around on YouTube. There's always good videos to watch such as Who You Are: A Message to All Women or if you're a guy you should check out Who You Are: A message to All Men
  10. Hair and Makeup - If you're a girl then you should try out new hairstyles and practice doing you're makeup and trying new things with it and you could also paint your nails.

Figuring Out Where You Stand

Hey guys,

So today I'm going to blog about something I'm sure we've all faced at some point in our lives.

Sometimes people are so nice to you and so understanding and you feel like you can tell them anything and you trust and love them so much and then you see them again and they're acting completely different.

This is something I face a lot and it always upsets me. I never know where I stand with some people.

It's horrible when it happens because you start blaming yourself wondering if you did or said something wrong and you end up getting caught up in a whirlwind of self-hate.

But I want you all to know that it has nothing to do with the way you are. It's just the other person. Sometimes people have one person that they always give out to when they're in a bad mood.

Usually it ends up being someone like me. Someone who just takes it and acts like they're okay with it when really it's killing them inside.

I'm not blogging this saying I have the answers because I don't. I'm just saying that you shouldn't start feeling insecure about yourself if this happens. It's not your fault.

Just keep your head up and you'll get through whatever you're going through.

Recipe: Oreo Truffles

Hey guys!

So today I thought I'd give you an extremely delicious recipe for Oreo truffles! If you have never had Oreo truffles then that needs to change! So now is your time to make them and try them! They are AMAZING!!!

Let me know what you think of them in the comments!

Ingredients
36 oreos
1 pack (8oz) Philadelphia cream cheese
Bars of chocolate to melt

Recipe

  1. Mash up all the Oreo's into small crumbs. MASH MASH MASH!!!
  2. Put the Oreo crumbs and the cream cheese in a bowl and mix them together. This part can be difficult so you may have to wash your hands and use the tips of your fingers to mix them together.
  3. When you have them mixed together, shape them into 1-2 inch balls. (This is where it gets messy!)
  4. When you have them shaped you need to melt the chocolate bars. You can do this over a stove or in the microwave. If you melt the chocolate in the microwave you need to put the chocolate in a bowl and take it out every thirty seconds and stir it until it is completely melted. Be careful not to burn it! (I learnt that the hard way!)
  5. When the chocolate is melted put an Oreo truffle into it and cover it in melted chocolate using a fork. Then put it on a tray. Continue this until all the truffles are covered in chocolate.
  6. Put the truffles in the fridge for an hour.
  7. EAT THEM!!! This is my favourite part!

So that's how to make Oreo truffles. Let me know in the comments what you thought or if you want more posts like this. Don't forget to vote on this weeks poll!

How to Stay on Top of your Work

Hey guys,

So I know that sometimes life can get really busy and a bit too overbearing and you can fall behind in things. It can be difficult to do a pile of homework and have seven projects due in one day and after school activities on top of all that. This tutorial is how to stay on top of your work and not fall behind.

While studying turn off your phone
I know this ones really difficult. I can barely breathe without my phone!! But it's best to just put away and turn off all distractions and just focus on the task at hand.

Organize your work
Organizing your work and time is very important. Have a planner for when you have a lot to focus on so you don't forget anything.

Prioritize
If you have sports, school work, and a social life it gets hard. Just make sure to have a balance and to get your priorities straight. You should use an organizer to help you.

Write a list
Write the things you need down and check off what you have done and what you need to do.

Get things done
Stop procrastinating and get it done. That's the #1 way to stay on top. Focus on studying and projects and you'll be good.

Relax
School in general is a big part of your time but you do need to have some you time. Take at least 30-60 minutes a day to just kick back and relax and do whatever you want to do so you're not always focused and stressed on one thing. Grab a mug of hot chocolate, put your feet up and relax!

So I hope you guys liked this tutorial. I should really try these tips myself and focus on school instead of blogging! (said no one ever!) Comment if you have any requests for more tutorials or other blog ideas. Don't forget to answer this weeks poll!

Top Picks for Netflix

Hey Guys!

Sometimes it can be hard to find a good movie or TV programme to watch on Netflix so I've decided to help you out! Here are a few movies and series that I enjoyed on Netflix. (This is from the Irish Netflix it might vary depending on where you live)

1, Pudsey The Dog: The Movie
The dog who won "Britain's Got Talent" stars as Pudsey, a lovable, dancing dog determined to save a family's beloved home from an evil land developer. I admit that I haven't actually seen this film yet but all the reviews I've heard say it's great and I can't wait to watch it myself with some popcorn and some Ben & Jerry's ice cream!

2. Dance Academy
When I first started watching Dance Academy I wasn't expecting much but it was so much better than I thought it would be! This series will have you laughing and have you crying. It's my favourite TV show and I strongly recommend it even if you're not into dance.

3. Radio Rebel
Shy student Tara has a secret identity: She is smooth-talking Radio Rebel, a DJ who lends her voice to all kids, popular and unpopular alike. This was a really good movie for all ages and teaches you to be more confident in yourself.

4. Life Unexpected
After years in foster care, teenager Lux tracks down her real parents to authorize her emancipation. But she lands in their joint custody instead. I am currently watching Life Unexpected and I love it. It's really good and keeps you thinking about the real world.

5. Grown Ups
Five childhood pals reunite after 30 years at a lake house to mourn the loss of their old basketball coach, and act quite juvenile for their age. This is a very funny movie that will have you falling off your chair in laughter! I recommend this movie to teenagers and adults.

Hope you liked this post. Comment below what you thought of it or if you have any other recommendations for Netflix and don't forget to vote on this weeks poll.

My Anxiety

Hey guys!

So today I want to talk about my anxiety and my anxiety disorder.

Up until I was three I was extremely shy and a lot quieter than the other kids my age. And then one day when I was about three I just stopped talking. I wouldnt say a word apart from talking to my family. So I was taken to a psychiatrist who diagnosed me with Selective Mutism.

Selective Mutism is an anxiety disorder that causes you to stay silent in nearly all social situations.

I get minor panic attacks from it. Whenever I get asked a question I just freeze and my stomach lunges and my heart starts racing and it feels like time's stopped yet at the same time every second seems to last an hour.

I stayed silent the whole way through primary school. I didn't talk in church either. I got bullied in school for a lot of reasons. These are just a few: I was fat, ugly, didn't talk, was a Christian.

People didn't like anything about me and even my teacher mocked me. I had nobody to talk to about any of my problems and I felt so lonely and depressed.

When I went into secondary school I only knew one or two people which made it easier to talk. So I did. I'm in second year now and I talk all the time in school and at home but I still can't pluck up the courage to talk at church. I think it's because these are the people I'm closest with which makes it a lot harder.

But my goal for the summer of 2015 is to try and start talking in church which will be extremely difficult but I'll try my best.

So that's it for now. Leave a comment if you have anxiety or anything like that or comment saying what you would like me to blog about next.

A Bit About Me

Hey guys!

This is the first blog post I’ve ever written. I’ve decided to start a blog because some of my friends encouraged me to do so and also the book ‘Girl Online’ by Zoe Sugg (Zoella) inspired me to start a blog. I’m going to keep it anonymous though with the exception of a few of my friends.

So let me tell you a little bit about me. I’m Irish and I live at home with my parents, my two brothers and my two dogs.

Since I was three I’ve had an anxiety disorder called selective mutism (I’ll blog about that soon). Last summer I was extremely depressed. Things are still extremely hard but at least I have school to keep me busy even though I hate it.

I’m a Christian and I go to an amazing church. I love the people there so much that they’re practically a second family to me. Sometimes I get mocked for being a Christian but I always try to put God in control of whatever situation I’m facing.

Okay so enough about me and my boring life for now! I’ll tell you about my blog. It’s not going to have one specific theme. I’m going to try and vary it a bit by having recipes and tutorials and random thoughts.

So I hope you like it. I know I probably won’t get any views or anything but we’ll see what happens.
